Parallax Semiconductor offers the key multicore products developers need to start designing their products. The P8X32A multicore processor is available in QFN, DIP and QFP packages. The QFP is the most popular production version, representing approximately 80% of our volume.

Developers with a more traditional microcontroller background may prefer the QuickStart as their first Propeller Board. This board has very limited features such as touch-button inputs and LEDs, yet doubles as a simple open-source reference design in your product. This board is powered by USB and is a very comfortable starting point. Also download our Altium or DipTrace PCB files and use them as your own.

The Propeller Demo Board is sold in the Propeller Starter Kit. The Propeller Demo Board provides a very extensive platform for all demos included in the Propeller Tool library. Code examples include load-and-run demonstrations for VGA, TV, keyboard, mouse, LEDs, and microphone. With the multicore design you can run most of these projects simultaneously. Some customers prototype full system designs on this board.
